In LS Express, whenever you purchase an item and post with exact cash, the system will automatically post the invoice and payment simultaneously. This applies to various payment methods like cash, credit card, or gift card. This ensures that the transaction, including both purchase and payment, is completed seamlessly.

LS Express is configured to use a cash customer as the default. However, you can change the default customer as needed. For more details, refer to the Default Customer topic.

How to: Add a Different Customer to the Sale

  • To associate a customer with a sale, access either "My Customers" or "All Customers" from the POS, and then select the relevant customer. Once the sale is finalized, the Posted Sales Invoice is linked to the customer's account.

Print a Payment Receipt

  • In a Sales Profile card, you can enable the Print Slip Automatically toggle. This will trigger an automatic printing of the customer payment receipt when transactions are posted, paid, or refunded.

Walk-In Customer

For walk-in customers, the concept of posting to a customer's account is not applicable. Walk-in customers are already set as default customers for transactions in the POS.

 

Path: Administration > Navigate > Subscription

 

  1. Every POS must have a user ID. When you log in as admin, it will link with the Sales Profile. For example, there are 3 POS in Sales Profile List, so there will be 3 users ID.

    Note that the sales profile is attached to a store, but a store can have many sales profiles. For example, you can have three sales profiles in the same store.

     

  2. From the Sales Profile Card, you can set which store you wish to link with the sales profile. You also can set up the printing criteria.

  3. Open the Store Card to check whether the store has a default walk-in customer. For example, to set the generic customer profile used for sales processed in the store, the POS Customer Profile is set to a "Walk In Customer".

     

    In POS, when you have completed the payment, the system will automatically create another blank POS sale with this default customer and default location code.

How to: View the Customer's Sales History from the POS

  1. In POS, select Customer Item Sales History.

  2. This provides a record of items previously purchased by the customer, and you can choose to open the related documents or print/email receipts.

How to: Block Customer Credit Limit at POS

  1. To prevent customers from exceeding their credit limit during POS transactions, you can enable the Block Customer Credit Limit at POS toggle in the Customer Card page.

  2. If a customer tries to post a sale that would exceed their credit limit, it will be blocked.

  3. Note that sales transactions with payment can still be posted in such cases.

How to: Block Charge to Customer Account at POS

It is possible to block a named customer from posting to his account at POS.

  • On the Customer card, enable the Block Charge to Account toggle from the Point of Sale FastTab.

  • When this field is enabled, the "Post to Customer" action is not available for the named customer in the POS, and the sale can only be finalized using the payment method.
