Signature Creation Unit (SCU)

A Signature Creation Unit (SCU) is a cryptographic component required by RKSV to digitally sign every transaction. You must create and initialize an SCU before any transactions can be uploaded to Fiskaly.

 

1. On the Fiskaly Setup (Austria) page, select Signature Creation Unit.

   

2. On the Fiskaly SCU List, select Create & Initialize SCU.

   

If the SCU was created but not initialized, select Initialize SCU to complete the setup.

Note: An SCU is tied to the cash register(s) it was created for. If you decommission a cash register after a POS hardware migration, see Cash Register Setup before creating a new one, to avoid leaving orphaned SCU/cash register links in Fiskaly.
