EFT Tag Setup

Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) transactions processed through LS Pay return EMV chip data as a set of key-value pairs called EFT tags. The EFT Tag Setup page lets you control which of those tags are captured and how they appear on receipts and in the EFT receipt report.

Overview

When a card payment is processed, LS Pay can return up to 50 EMV data values (tags) alongside the payment result. These tags carry information such as the card network, authorization codes, chip identifiers, and terminal details. The EFT Tag Setup page maps each tag to a numbered dataset column so that the EFT receipt report can include those values in a predictable position.

Tags that are not mapped to a dataset column are ignored in the receipt output. You can populate the setup with the default Verifone Point tag mapping using the built-in action, or you can enter a custom mapping manually.

To open the EFT Tag Setup page:

  1. On the LS Express Administration page, select Related - LS Pay - EFT Tag Setup, and select the relevant link.

Note: The page has Insert and Delete disabled. Rows are created by running the Insert Dataset Columns action and populated by running Insert Verifone Point Tags or by editing the Tag and Tag Label fields directly.

Fields

Field Description
Data Set Column Specifies which numbered column in the EFT receipt report dataset this tag maps to. The column number determines the position in which the tag value appears on printed receipts. Columns are numbered 1–50 and are read-only; they are created by the Insert Dataset Columns action.
Tag Specifies the EFT tag code returned by the payment terminal, for example EMV_TAG_9F26 (Application Cryptogram) or MERCHID (Merchant ID). The code must exactly match what the terminal sends; it is used to look up the correct value from the transaction response.
Tag Label Specifies the human-readable label printed alongside the tag value on the EFT receipt, for example CF Application Cryptogram or Merchant ID. You can override the default label with any text that suits your receipt layout.

Actions

Action Description
Insert Dataset Columns Creates 50 numbered dataset column rows if they do not already exist. Run this action first before assigning any tags. Rows that already exist are skipped.
Insert Verifone Point Tags Populates the Tag and Tag Label fields with the default Verifone Point EMV tag mapping (47 tags). This runs Insert Dataset Columns first if needed, then fills in all defined columns. You can modify any label or tag code after the action completes.

Note: The Verifone Point default mapping covers 47 of the 50 available columns. Columns 48–50 are left blank for custom tags specific to your implementation.
